Too shy to ask this guy if he had emigrated to Canada from Russia or he's just loving all this Soviet cosmic-esthetique. Anyway it makes no difference, just curious. So, what we've got in here? Space synth ambience? Sovietwave? Wonderful! If you grew up in Soviet Union times, you obvously dreamed to become a cosmonaut. Everybody did. And sci-fi movies of the 70-80s with all that space stuff and Rybnikov's and Artemiev's synthesizer music.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a nostalgic feelings or something like "a future in the past". It's a type of esthetique. Retro futuristic maybe. Like dreams about far bright future with all that spaceships, steampunk buildings and cosmic travelling. So, Project Lazarus caught it well and made it clear on another perception level.
So, if you ask me, what this tunes are for, I say "For daydreams about future." Check this.
